A well-situated place - in close proximity to view, which was what we wanted.

We visited that resort before and we liked facilities and the food. The great hotel met all requests perfectly. A terrace is why we chose it.
-
the resort had lots of stuff to do - 3 different swimming pools a private beach and tobogan slides that went into the sea (when allowed , depending on the weather), there was mini golf , entertainment each night (although you could not understand it if you didnt speak italian or russian) plenty of pool bars and there was a shuttle bus into the small town but this returned at 7pm each evening and a taxi is costly after that €50...
the hotel did not cater at all for english speakers. they were fully catered for Italian and Russian only. this made it very hard to communicate if you had any queries or problems. there was a new card system introduced the week we got there - you needed to top up your room card in order to pay for things at bars and restaraunts... this would have been ok if there was not constant problems with some bars taking them and others not accepting them unless you pushed them to take it. there was also issues with topping the cards up, there seemed to be a lot of confusion at reception about topping the room cards up - some days theyd let you other days they wouldnt - very frustrating!!! food was not good for dinner - buffet style and overpriced. no access to terrasini unless you pay €50 for a taxi. the day trips were also grossly overpriced

Clean and spacious rooms, good parking, efficient reception, helpful staff.
Restaurant facilities - there was a wedding booked in so only the pizzeria was available which was swamped; it took 85 minutes for an order of two pizzas to arrive! There should be more eating options available. The reception staff need to explain more carefully how the card/money system works when you are checking in.

The "tobogga" at the hotel was very fun. The hotel was nice located by the sea with a splendid view.
Some of the staff was close to unfriendly as we did have a "all inclusive" package, meaning that we had pay cash for the things we bought in terms of drinks ect. That seemed to be a hassle for them.

Waterslide is awesome when it is open
Resort is understaffed and run down, food is institutional, but waterslide, beach and water aerobics are a lot of fun.

I would recommend this hotel for families with small children, and absolutely no one else. Location ok for exploring Palermo if you hire a car, also some nice restaurants in the nearby villages. The toboggan is quite nice, and the olympic pool makes it possible to get some serious excersice. The rooms have balcony/terrasse although all the "activity" going on in the area in the evening makes it more difficult to enjoy this particular feature.
Breakfast so disappointing we skipped it after the first day. And if you don't want to eat the buffet, you need a car to get out of the hotel area: apart from a pizzeria there is nothing else. The rooms are quite worn-down and the staff, especially in the reception, seems as if they are doing everything for the very first time. It takes forever. At nine o'clock Hell (also known as Kids Club) breaks loose in front of our building, and then there is program all through the evening/night in the area. Some may enjoy this but for us it was a minus. This is a big holiday club and not a proper hotel, and you need to understand that. PLUS: Don't deposit any money on the plastic cards the reception desk may tell you are used in the hotel area instead of cash. Cash is accepted everywhere and the plastic only now and then, when the "system isn't down" which it often is.

Most of all the Animation Team.
Some of the receptionist are very cold and short at the same time. I think in a place like Citta del Mare all the staff has to be more nice with clients. Everytime I've called from my room at the reception, no one ever answered. So I had to go always at the reception and wait for my turn for long time, due to poor communication with clients and a lot of complains. Hope this message will change a bit the situation! Best regards.

The sea was perfect so was the location of the slides
The staff, the service and the facilities in the room were disappointing.Temporary beds in the room, not clean bathroom, ants. The staff is very slow and often ignored us.The beach and the swimming pools are closed at 19-00.Breakfast is very poor,no fruites.Aso dont be fooled because the hotel is more like a camping village than a hotel wich was very dissapointing.
-
The facilities (pool, sports, beach) are outstanding and the animators are very dedicated.
For a hotel with some 1,000 guests, we were amazed to find the reception empty at 14:00 hrs. And the reception staff seemed unable to deal with one problem at a time, resulting in confusion and frustration.
-
The sports facilities & staff
Food choice was not great - breakfast did not include hot food; lunch and dinner never served chicken. Mix up in rooms
-
The sports facilities. Service was good alround except receptionists.
Breakfast did not include hot food such as sausages, bacon, fried/scrambelled eggs. Also during lunch and dinner, no chicken was ever served... Mix-up in rooms.

Views from the hotel were epic! The food was lovely and plentiful. The shuttle service to the beach was efficent. lots of day time activities. Spacious rooms. The Beach is beautiful and the sea is crystal clear!!
€3 for a can of coke is ridiculous! There is little or no public transport to the hotel area and hotel transfer is way overpriced(145euro compared to a private company charging 90euro), excursions and day trips are irregular and overpriced, night life is lacking to say the least especially for young couples. Rooms could do with better soundproof.
-
Its a most amazing place lovely view onto the sea I was not expecting it to be what it was The staff were courteous and efficient on arrival we were late they were busy. as we were only staying 1 day I was glad we were put near the main block.)
It was not at all what I was expecting it was not a suitable location for my elderly mother the restaurant was hard to get to down alot of steps and rather overwhelming when we got there I found the restaurant rather overcrouded as well although the food was good. \it would have been good to go with young people or children lots to do.
-
The views in the evening of the sun going down which were great from the hotel terrace. The beach terrace where the tobaggan was but its a bit of a treck to it and very very steep but worth it when you got there, could get very crowded though.
Check in upon arrival. Buffet service and staff within. Food boring. Order of service no matter where no system and very long delay.
